Iota Production was founded in 2000 by Isabelle Truc. It has since produced 50 documentaries. Iota remains faithful to this activity, but has also ventured into the world of fiction.

Lately, the documentary feature Ma’ohi Nui, In the Heart of the Ocean My Country Lies, by Annick Ghijzelings, was screened for its world premiere at the Berlinale 2018 (NATIV.e section) and recently Overseas by Sung-A Yoon was selected for the Locarno Film Festival 2019 (Cineasti del Presente section).

Iota has also produced 10 short films and a dozen of features including Our Struggles by Guillaume Senez, selected by the Critic’s Week at the Cannes Film Festival 2018, and the coproduction Oleg by Yuris Kursietis, selected for the Director’s Fortnight of the Cannes festival 2019.

On the animation side, we participated with the production of the animation features by Tomm Moor, The secret of Kells and Song of the Sea, which was nominated for the Oscars and Césars and awarded best European animation film in 2015. The animation feature Who killed Jessica? by Yulie Cohen and Yinon Shomroni is currently in development. And we are still open to some new animation projects in coproduction.
